Jessica WarrinerSouthern Gazette

SIX local students have been offered a place on the School Sport WA Swimming Team set to travel to Adelaide in December.

Ethan Calleja and Kaitlin Williams from Ursula Frayne Catholic College, Lachlan Ison and Reilly Lovegrove from Wesley College, and Ben Russell and Sergio Wirawan from Aquinas College have all secured a spot on the state squad off the back of their outstanding local results.

The students will compete at the 2017 School Sport Australia Pacific School Games from December 3 to 9, where around 4000 young people compete in 11 different sports.

The games are open to students between 10 and 19 from at least 15 countries, with students qualifying through their respective school sporting association pathways.
