Victoria Park Squash Club players take out junior national titles

COMPETITORS from Victoria Park Squash Club claimed victory at a recent national championship.

Five members of the club travelled to Devonport in Tasmania to compete in the Australian Junior Open.

Number one junior in WA Will Curtis came fifth in the Under-19s, Abel Jin took out fourth place in the Under-15s and Greg Chan and Oscar Curtis came first and third respectively at the Under-13s.

In the girl’s competition, Pascal Louka came fifth in the Under-15s.

Junior coach Sue Hillier – who is the number one ranked female squash player in WA – said she was proud of her players.

“The club has a strong base, Greg Chan and Will Curtis are the current Australian Junior Champions for their age groups,” she said.
