PERTH closed out their round five fixture against Midland-Guildford with a clean sweep of the seniors and also victory in the under 17’s.

After setting them 343 to win last week, led by Jake Van Galen with 4/55 and Dean Nelson with 3/42, Perth dismissed their opponents for 201.

The fireworks began in the second innings as Jake Snadden blasted a 60-ball century.

Bringing back memories of the Gilchrist era, he finished with a highly entertaining 111 including 14 boundaries and five shots that cleared the fence.

Former club captain Royce Blight scored a masterful century in the comfortable victory for Perth’s second grade.

South Perth recorded their first loss of the Premier Cricket season, going down to Scarborough in a cliffhanger at Richardson Park on Saturday.

Chasing Scarborough’s 247, the Skye Blues resumed play at 0/23 and found themselves in a winnable position at 5-188.

Trent Ovens was impressive with 57 at the top of the order, while youngster Darius D’Silva showed his maturity with 63, as he continues his promising season.

South Perth lost their last five wickets for just 35 runs, to be bowled out for 223.
