FRESH from Big Bash League success with the Adelaide Strikers, Jonathan Wells played a remarkable innings of 201 not out for Perth at Fletcher Park on Saturday.

Chasing 250 and trying to shore up a finals position, the Demons lost two early wickets before a 228 partnership between Wells and the in-form Luke Jury (82) saw Perth comfortably home over Bayswater-Morley with 4-353.

Wells brought up his double century in the last over, off 255 balls, being the highest personal score this season in the Premier Cricket competition.
