SOUTH Perth was unable to book a place in the WA Premier Cricket Grand Final after going down to University on the weekend.
The Sky Blues won the toss at Richardson Park and put the visitors in to bat to start the preliminary final.
University made 9-226 with Joshua Mason (65) and Matthew Birrell (55) scoring the bulk of the runs, while Michael Bailey took 3-30.
