BRIGHTON Bakery in Scarborough has claimed three prizes for its pies at the Royal Show Pie Competition this year.
The bakery won first prize for its pastie, second for its lamb pie and third for its gourmet beef pie.
Competition chief judge Mike French said owner and baker Vuong Dong deserved the win.
“Dong has always worked hard in this business and the results he has achieved are well deserved,” Mr French said.
Mr Dong said Brighton Bakery had been winning awards since 1995 and was in the top 10 performing bakeries.
“We won Australia’s top gourmet pie in 2012 and best pastie at the WA Royal Show two years running,” Mr Dong said.
“We have consistently good products and great value for money.”
Brighton Bakery will send its award-winning pies to the National Pie Competition in Sydney, now in its 26th year.
The Perth Royal Show is from September 26 to October 3.
