MASCOT Colonel Sanders, games and fast food vouchers will be part of the festivities when KFC opens a new restaurant in Karrinyup on Thursday.

Collins Food Limited is moving its restaurant to a new location at 200 Karrinyup Road and opening the new venue with WA’s first digital drive through menu board on December 5.

To celebrate the opening, there will be a ‘chill zone’ with deck chairs, picnic blankets, two games including a spin wheel and ball toss target, and opportunities to get photos with the Colonel mascot.

There will also be merchandise up for grabs and vouchers for free regular chips, Freezes, Tender Burgers and Go Buckets.

The existing 51 employees will relocate to the new site, with 19 of those employed in the past five months to learn some of the Colonel’s secrets.

“The team are really excited to begin working in the brand new, high tech restaurant in Karrinyup,” general manager Catherine Kohli said.

“The current KFC restaurant in Karrinyup has marked its place in the local community, and our customers have shared their excitement at the thought of a brand new restaurant where they can enjoy their meals.”

Ms Kohli will be supported by two assistant general managers Lorena Mabingnay and Bena Loboyong, who also bring experience from the previous Karrinyup location and will help oversee the day to day running of the restaurant.

Delivery partners Deliveroo and Menulog will provide home deliveries from the restaurant.
