Cr Sandri said she felt privileged to receive the award.

“I joined council to facilitate change and advocate for good built form and transparency in local government,” she said.

“So to be recognised for doing that has been a really exciting and humbling experience and has only amplified my commitment to pushing for thoughtful, community minded planning.”

Mayor Mark Irwin said he was pleased to see her recognised.

“Cr Sandri’s ability to adapt, along with her excellent people and technical planning abilities, have seen her excel in local government and small business at a young age and I know that she’ll continue make a big contribution to the field of town planning and the Stirling community into the future,” he said.
