The exclusive Style Circle event held last week at the Butterworth Bar and Kitchen unveiled 34 finalists across nine categories recognised for their talents, success, and contributions to the WA fashion industry.

The 31-year-old, who recently released her spring-summer 2013/2014 collection, was nominated in the Fine Details category against fellow designers Alister Yiap and Katherine Dunmill.

‘It was quite a surprise to be nominated but I’m really excited about it,’ Bratich-Johnson said.

‘There have been a lot of ups and downs with the business over the last few years and sometimes you wonder whether it’s worth it when things go wrong, so this nomination means a lot to me to get recognised for the hard work that I’ve put in.

‘To win would be amazing and such an achievement with all the talented designers we have in Perth.’

She said the awards evening was an important night for the WA fashion industry as there wasn’t another like it in Perth.

The State’s influential fashion community known as the ‘Style Circle’ will decide who wins by voting for their peer-nominated finalists. Winners will be announced at an exclusive black tie event early next year.
