A MALL-WALKING group for seniors in Mirrabooka celebrated six months since its launch with new personalised T-shirts.
The group, formed by the Council on the Ageing (COTA), holds an hour-long walk in The Square Mirrabooka every Wednesday.
Mirrabooka MLA Janine Freeman presented members with the shirts on February 7.

COTA active ageing manager Phil Airey said the shirts were recognition of the group’s success.
“The group has actually grown to a healthy size of 20 regular participants with four more walking leaders,” he said.
“We have seen some people who have been socially isolated join the broader community and make great friendships in the group, as well as increasing their fitness.”
Mr Airey said he hoped numbers would double by the end of the year.
He said COTA was looking to organise more community events in Mirrabooka.
