OCEAN views and extended opening times, along with WA wine, craft beers, ciders, spirits and gourmet food are expected to make the 2018 Sunset Wine at Scarborough a hit.

Though Sunset Wine has been operating each year since 2014 last year was the first time it was held at Brighton Reserve and event director Richard Campbell said this year’s event would be tweaked to give visitors an even better experience.

“We’ve opened it up to allow even better views of the sun setting and we’ve added an extra half hour at the start of the afternoon and half an hour at the other end of the day to really extend the sunset experience,” he said.

Mr Campbell said the February 17-18 event provided an opportunity to sample wines from some of WA’s less well known wineries as well as some old favourites.

Visitors can also buy a glass of wine to enjoy at the show or bottles to take home. A wine locker on site allows bottles of wine to be stored until it’s time to go home.

A range of food will be available including tapas, pizzas, sliders and other festival food.

Justin Martins, a pop acoustic act, will play his brand of upbeat music, likened to Jason Mraz, from 2pm to 4.45pm on both days.

From 5pm to 8pm on both days, acoustic cover band Felony Trio will play.
