ST Kieran Catholic Primary School in Tuart Hill received $6000 from the Telstra Kids Fund recently to improve the education and learning resources of the special needs program.

The Parents and Friends Association received five $1200 grants for student resources. Principal Peter Cutrona said the grants enabled the school to buy a range of resources for learning development.

He said the money went towards mathematics programs, reading resources, a fully functioning mobile kitchen and perceptual motor program equipment.

A range of other necessary items have also been bought to enhance the classroom environment for the school’s special needs students.

“We were fortunate to have five people who were happy to support St Kieran Primary School and we are truly grateful for the wonderful opportunity this grant has provided,” Mr Cutrono said.
