MOMENTUM is building ahead of the opening of the Scarborough Beach pool on Monday.

Adelaide-based cafe Cocolat has launched at the site, the first tenant to move into the City of Stirling facility.

Owners Scott and Maricar Bradley have opened the first WA location of the franchise, serving decadent desserts, cakes, gelati, chocolates and hot beverages.

The cafe can be accessed from inside and outside the pool facility and will be joined by Italian restaurant La Capannina in the upper tenancy in March.

The pool opens on Monday morning from 5.30am.
