Aldi set to open in Mirrabooka

Kate LeaverStirling Times

The City of Stirling passed a motion at last week’s general meeting allowing for changes to loading docks and car park arrangements to make way for the supermarket at Mirrabooka Square shopping centre.

Councillors decided to waive the cash-in-lieu parking fee for the tenant given there was a surplus of car bays at Mirrabooka Square.

Cr Keith Sargent said he visited the centre on a daily basis and parking was not an issue.

Mirrabooka Square Centre manager Leanne Chaproniere said the arrival of Aldi next year meant the local community would be able to enjoy an improved shopping experience.

“We know our customers are going to be excited about Aldi opening at Mirrabooka Square and, coupled with the ongoing upgrade to the shopping centre, Mirrabooka Square is set to become a bigger and better shopping destination,” Ms Chaproniere said.
