Apple issues recall on adapters due to shock risk

Rachel FennerStirling Times

APPLE has issued a massive recall on its power adapters, after some have broken and caused a risk of electric shock.

The recall affects a decade's worth of two pronged wall plug adapters – designed for use in Australia, New Zealand and Europe.

The adapters were shipped from 2003 to 2015 with MacBooks, iPads and older models of iPhone and iPod, between 2003 and 2015.

Apple will exchange affected adapters with a new one free of charge at Apple stores, online or by contacting Apple support.
