A WOMAN has been sexually assaulted while shopping at Bunnings in Innaloo.

The 28-year-old was at the store at 2.15pm on June 23 when a man approached and spoke to her, making her feel uncomfortable.

The alleged offender then continuously followed the woman around the store and made several lewd comments to her.

He again approached her and grabbed her buttocks with both of his hands.

The woman left the store but the man continued to follow her.

She was able to find the man on social media after he gave her his name and reported the incident and information to police.

Coincidentally, that same night the man called police reporting he was victim of a crime and was subsequently arrested.

The 47-year-old Langford man has been remanded in custody and will face court on July 8 charged with unlawful and indecent assault and two charges of possessing stolen property.
