Balcatta disability service Intework receives $1.18m Lotterywest grant

BALCATTA disability services organisation Intework has been award a $1.18 million grant.

The Lotterywest grant will help the organisation provide services to people living with a disability, according to Intework chief executive Fiona Beermier.

“This grant will play an integral part in transforming Intework’s internal systems and back-office operations to better meet the needs of Intework’s clients day to day,” Ms Beermier said.

“Intework will use this funding to develop our internal systems and improve our overall productivity, allowing us to provide new and improved services to a larger number of people living with a disability.”

Ms Beermier said with the roll out of the National Disability Insurance Scheme trials across WA, the disability services sector was undergoing a period of “dramatic growth and change”.

“These infrastructure upgrades will also enable us to offer administrative support to smaller not-for-profit organisations who do not have the capacity to manage all of these tasks themselves,” she said.
