Balcatta fatal crash: police seek witnesses to Main St motorcycle accident

MAJOR Crash investigators would like to speak to anyone who may have seen a Suzuki motorcycle before it crashed in Main Street last Friday.

A Balcatta man was killed while evading police after crashing into a Main Street property.

Police saw the 39-year-old man and his 29-year-old Coolbellup woman passenger just after midnight on Wanneroo Road.

A police spokeswoman said the man was acting suspiciously.

Police attempted to stop the motorcycle but the driver did not stop and rode away at speed before crashing into a fence on Main Street.

A short time later police were advised the same motorcycle had crashed into the fence of a residence on Main Street in Balcatta.

The male rider of the motorcycle received critical injuries and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital and died on arrival.

The female pillion passenger received serious and was also taken to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.
