BALCATTA Playgroup is celebrating 30 years helping local families in the area.
Affiliated with Playgroup WA, the volunteer-run playgroup was established in 1986 and has since provided a safe and fun space for many children over the years.
Playgroup president Erin Thomas said she was proud of the group’s inclusive and accessible culture.

READ NOW“Balcatta Playgroup has been an important network for families of the local community over the past 30 years; providing opportunities for children and their families and caregivers to interact with other children and adults in a safe and friendly space,” she said.
“It is lovely to think that in at least some small way, Balcatta Playgroup has contributed to the lives of so many families, a number of which have been new to the area, state or even country when they joined.”
Ms Thomas said she welcomed past and current families to an anniversary event on December 4.
“We would love to have members from across the past 30 years come along and would also love any old photographs that our past members may have to create a memory board for the day,” she said.
