Balcatta PS receives visit from familiar face for Harmony Day

TELEVISION presenter Tracy Vo was part of Harmony Day celebrations at Balcatta Primary School.

The Channel Nine newsreader joined students for their assembly today in an effort to promote cultural diversity.

Ms Vo, who grew up in Hamersley, discussed her book Small Bamboo, which follows her family’s journey from Vietnam to Australia as refugees.

She also talked about growing up in Australia and the cultural differences she faced, and how she embraced the Australian lifestyle.
