AUSTRALIA’S first multicultural Aussie Rules football team is recruiting.

The Mirrabooka-based Edmund Rice Lions are seeking male and female players born outside Australia to join their junior and senior teams at their annual registration carnival.

The event will feature the Edmund Rice Juniors taking on rivals Butler Falcons, along with activities including a colouring stall, bouncy castle and free barbecue.

Children and youths aged from six years and older are encouraged to register.

The carnival runs at Barry Britton Reserve in Balga on March 27, 4pm to 7pm, with the match kicking off at 5pm.
