THE Perth School of Ballet is turning out dancers of the future.

Four of the Osborne Park-based school’s students won state medals at the WA Cecchetti Medal tests, which are highly regarded within the ballet community.

Emily Gleeson (9) won the grade three medal, Tyler Lindsay (12) and Ayesha Lucido (10) won grade five medals and Milla Brinsden (13) won a grade six medal.

Director Simone Jackson-Pike said the medals were a reward for the high level of training the students go through.

‘These students show immense potential and are well placed to move forward with their training should they wish to continue into a full-time ballet career,’ she said.

‘Tyler and Milla, along with Perth School of Ballet students Noah Benzie-Drayton and Catherine Neilson, have also been accepted into the Interstate Training Program for the Australian Ballet School. This is further recognition of the level our students are achieving.’
