THE redevelopment of Karrinyup Shopping Centre has forced the closure of a popular bank.

The ANZ Karrinyup branch is closing for 10 weeks, set to reopen just one week before Christmas.

Works at the northern and north-eastern ends of the centre have been ongoing since November 2018.

ANZ said it would close from 4pm on Thursday, October 10 and reopen at 9.30am on Wednesday, December 18 as a digital branch offering online and face-to-face services.

Stage one of the centre’s $800 million redevelopment is expected to open later this year and overall completion is slated for the end of 2021.
