Bedside hearing for woman who allegedly drove into ambulance in Dianella

A WOMAN has been charged after she allegedly crashed her car into an ambulance this morning (July 12).

Major Crash officers charged a 30-year-old Beechboro woman with two dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and no authority to drive.

It will be alleged the woman was driving a Hyundai Getz west along Woodrow Avenue in Dianella, through a red traffic light which interrupted the flow of traffic.

Shortly after, she collided with the ambulance, causing it to roll onto its side.

A 74-year-old female patient in the ambulance sustained serious injuries in the crash.

A 24-year-old female passenger in the Hyundai also sustained serious injuries.

The woman will appear in a bedside court hearing tomorrow (July 13).
