Bikie charged over Perth beach attack

A BIKIE has been charged over a serious assault at a Perth beach.

WA Police said a 41-year old man was walking on the Scarborough Beach front when he was punched from behind.

The alleged attack happened about 8:15pm on December 22 last year.

As a result of the attack, the victim received serious injuries and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital for surgery.

A spokeswoman for WA Police said: “Mirrabooka detectives have charged a man after their investigation into a serious assault incident involving a Coffin Cheaters Outlaw Motorcycle Gang member.

“After significant investigative action, on January 14 Mirrabooka detectives executed a search warrant at an address in Innaloo,” she added.

A 31-year-old man who is a patched member of the Coffin Cheaters OMCG, has been charged with one count of Grievous Bodily Harm.

He is due to appear in Perth Magistrates’ Court on February 5.
