BALCATTA residents will soon be playing bingo for a cause.
In addition to Monday night bingo at the Midland Sports Complex, Bingo for Conquer Cystic Fibrosis will be held in Balcatta every Wednesday from November 4.
Since starting Bingo for Conquer Cystic Fibrosis in 2012, Peter and Lisa Manwaring and their team of volunteers have raised more than $250,000 for Conquer Cystic Fibrosis.
Conquer Cystic Fibrosis (CCF) is a volunteer-based not-for-profit organisation that relies on family, friends, generous individuals and corporate sponsors to achieve fundrais-ing goals.
Money raised is donated to cystic fibrosis research and services.
Attendees at the opening night will go into the draw to win a raffle worth $1000.
CCF chairwoman Wendy Endebrock-Brown said CCF could not achieve its fundraising goals without the generosity of bingo volunteers.
“The volunteers are a wonderful example of how people can make a real difference to the lives of cystic fibrosis sufferers,” Ms Endebrock-Brown said.
“It is the passion, motivation, time and energy dedicated by all the volunteers involved with bingo that assists us to raise the money required to make possible real advances in research, and treatments, for people with cystic fibrosis.”
