Bonsai Workshop WA: from littler things little things grow

Kate LeaverStirling Times

THE Bonsai Workshop WA proved that good things come in small packages when they had a visit from an east coast Bonsai expert.

The Association of Australian Bonsai Clubs (AABC) visiting tutor Joe Morgan-Payler paid the local club a visit at the Doubleview Girl Guide Hall last month.

Mr Morgan-Payler has 17 years’ experience studying under a range of teachers in Australia and Japan.

Bonsai workshop club president Greg Young said the three-day workshop from July 30 was a great success.

“Mr Morgan-Payler specialises in pines, maples, junipers and conifers but still has a vast knowledge of many other species,” he said.

“We would also like to thank the City of Stirling with the help from councillor Stephanie Proud for installing new lights at the hall.”

The Bonsai Workshop meets at the hall on the last Saturday in every month starting from 1.00 pm.
