THERE is chaos on Perth roads this morning as a number of crashes and breakdowns have thrown morning commutes into disarray.

A breakdown on the Mitchell Freeway just after Karrinyup Rd in Stirling, which occurred around 7am, is still causing congestion for northern commuters.

The left lane was blocked and has now cleared, but it is still causing delays.

It’s not just northern commuters who are having freeway struggles, with the right lane of the Kwinana Freeway closed northbound near the Leach Highway in Bateman due to a breakdown.

Meanwhile, a crash on near the Kwinana Freeway on-ramp on Armadale Road in Jandakot resulted in the road being closed.

The crash, which occurred eastbound on Solomon Road, has resulted in extensive delays in the area, despite the road being re-opened.

Traffic is also slow both directions on Hutton Street near Hamilton Street in Osborne Park due to a road crash.

Main Roads has advised drivers to exercise extreme caution in the area.
