Churchlands Choral Society looking for new members

CHURCHLANDS Choral Society is singing out for new members and encouraging people to come to rehearsals.

After an anniversary concert in November 2016 celebrating their 20th year, the choir is embarking on a new repertoire.

Choir member Kim Spence said there were 70 members in the group.

“The choir sings both classical and contemporary music and usually offers two concerts each year,” he said.

“Singers are divided into voice sections – soprano, alto, tenor and bass – depending on their voice range, and personal preference and there are no auditions.

“Prospective choristers are welcome on any Monday night.”

WHEN: Monday nights, 7.30- 9.30pm
