Churchlands: Club seeking swimmers for ‘fun and fitness’

IT is never too late to take up swimming.

Newman Churchlands Masters Swimming Club has an emphasis on fun and fitness, and is seeking new members to join.

The club meets at the newly heated Newman College pool in Churchlands and member Frank Maloney said it catered for swimmers of all levels aged 18 and older.

“You can swim in a group or do your own thing,” he said.

“We even have members who keep fit by walking laps in the pool.”

There are also social events held throughout the year.

Sessions run on Monday and Wednesday nights from 6.30pm to 7.30pm and Sunday mornings from 8am to 9am.
