City of Stirling creates new Strategic Property Advisory Group

STIRLING councillors are part of a newly formed property advisory group.

The City created the Strategic Property Advisory Group to allow for “an informal discussion in respect of City-owned freehold property” after disbanding the Strategic Property Committee last year.

All councillors can attend, along with several City officers, and invited external consultants.

The group’s terms of reference states areas for discussion would include providing advice on strategic goals for the City’s property portfolio, as well as development and redevelopment opportunities, the sale, lease or disposal of holdings and investment objectives.

Meetings will run every six months and will be closed to the public.
