City of Stirling students among WA’s top achievers

STUDENTS from schools in Karrinyup, Churchlands and Wembley Downs are among the State’s top achievers.

Fifty general exhibition awards were given to ATAR students who achieved the highest WA Certificate of Education (WACE) scores in WA.

Recipients included Hale School’s Kevin Shah Mansouri and Newman College student Kascia Pavisich.

Stirling residents Roisin Callery and Ruo Yan Lee, and Woodlands’ Justin Liew, all of Perth Modern School, also achieved the honour.

Three students from St Mary’s Anglican Girls’ School received the awards: Phoebe Blaxill, Anna Inglis (Karrinyup) and Xin Ran Liu (Stirling).

Trigg’s Jacinta Devitt, who attends Sacred Heart College, won the general exhibition award for the highest score of an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student.

Balcatta’s Connor Brown, of St Stephen’s School in Duncraig, achieved the VET exhibition award in creative industries.
