The club recently unveiled its new look courts and is hoping to take membership to a new level.
President Ross Graffin said the club’s aim was to continue to provide the best playing surfaces for its members.
‘It is vital that our juniors have the opportunity to develop their skills on playing surfaces that are equal to any in the State,’ he said. ‘In addition to the courts, which include the only grass courts along the west coast corridor north of Karrinyup Road, our off-court clubhouse and facilities are first rate.
‘The clubhouse overlooks the courts, providing excellent viewing for spectators watching our women’s team, which is currently on top of the State’s premier women’s league.’
The club offers social and competitive tennis for all ages and standards of play in a sociable, safe and healthy environment, and features 12 grass courts, eight synthetic grass and four plexi-pave courts.
Head coach Robert Kennedy has played and coached overseas for five years. With more than 150 juniors amd multiple junior pennant teams, he said the club was for everyone.
‘The club caters for all ages from sub-juniors to seniors, and parents are welcome to come and stay and have a drink while the kids play,’ he said.
‘We enter pennant teams across a range of playing standards in various midweek and weekend competitions, and one of our founding members, Gerry Cohen, is still playing.’
Membership options include social play on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, ladies on Tuesday mornings, Junior Hot Shots Tennis and Cardio Tennis. Visit www.timefortennis.com.au or phone Rob on 0424 618 590.
