DEVELOPER Norup Wilson has broken ground on its Scarborough apartments development.

The Beach Shack will make the most of its beachside location on West Coast Highway, near Pearl Parade, offering two nine-storey developments boasting ocean views from most balconies.

An official sod turning event was held this week, with forward works to start soon, and main construction expected to begin early next year.

Dave Wilson said he and fellow Norup Wilson director John Norup had both built and lived in apartments so understood what was needed.
