Dianella man arrested on multiple lawn bowls paedophilia charges

POLICE have arrested a man in relation to multiple paedophilia charges allegedly committed while he was involved with a metropolitan lawn bowls club.

The 34-year-old man was charged as a result of an extensive investigation into the alleged historical child sexual abuse incidents.

Police alleged the offenses were committed between 2000 and 2017.

They claim the man sexually assaulted and indecently dealt with three girls who were aged between 13 and 14 years of age at the time of the first offence.

The man from Dianella man was charged with five counts of sexual penetration of a child over 13 years and under 16 years, five counts of indecent dealing with a child over 13 years and under 16 years, two counts of procuring a child over 13 years and under 16 years to do an indecent act and persistent sexual conduct with a child under 16 years.

He will appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today (July 11).

The investigation is ongoing and detectives urge anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online.
