Dirt gate: more than 10,000 people pledge to protest at Perth’s Brownes Dairy Plant

BROWNES Dairy is under fire with thousands of angry millennials demanding it re-releases their favourite Yogo flavour.

More than 10,000 people have made a pledge on Facebook to show up at the Perth dairy plant and protest for the return of the dirt dessert.

For those who don’t remember Yogos used to come in a variety of flavours – including, chocolate, strawberry, double-decker and the infamous dirt dessert.

The dirt dessert contained a layer of Yogo on top and a bottom layer of rich chocolatey “dirt”.

It was discontinued about five years ago with Brownes citing lack of sales.

Brownes has not confirmed if the protest would be successful, but they have sent out their big guns in the form of their mascot – the give me Yogo bird.
