Doubleview: man in custody after suspicious house fire causes $200k damage

A MAN is in custody and police are calling for information after a house fire gutted a Doubleview home overnight.

The Grand Promenade fire was reported at 3.15am and crews from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services attended.

No one was home at the time, but the damage bill is believed to be around $200,000.

The Arson Squad has put out a call for anyone with information about the fire to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
