AN 83-year-old man was assaulted at Westfield Innaloo shopping centre when an offender stole his wallet from his trouser pocket.

At 9.20am on February 25, the man was loading shopping bags into his car when he was approached by a young man who shook his hand.

The 83-year-old was pushed backwards into the car by the offender who grabbed his pocket to find his wallet.

The victim pushed the man away and started to shout before the offender walked away and walked away in a westerly direction.

A second man was seen nearby with the other man earlier that morning.

Police have released CCTV images of two men who they believe can assist them with their inquiries.

The first man is described as 20 to 25-years-old with dark skin, thin, approximately 185cm tall with short curly dark hair.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a brown T-shirt, dark brown trousers and boots.

The second man is described as 22 to 27-year-old, approximately 175cm tall and of medium build. He was wearing a white shirt under a black top with dark long pants and shoes.
