SHOPPERS will get their first look at the revamped Karrinyup Shopping Centre when international fashion giant H&M opens on Thursday.

Former blogger and entrepreneur Elle Ferguson will be at the centre for the official opening of the first section of the Fashion Loop, which features H&M, Swarovski and an expanded Mecca.

Centre manager Tim Richards said it was an exciting milestone for the $800 million redevelopment and “a small taste of the exciting things to come”.

“Elle has cemented herself as one of Australia’s leading fashion icons and beauty entrepreneurs and her aesthetic very much aligns with Karrinyup’s inspiring retail offering, so she was a natural choice to help us celebrate this exciting new chapter in the evolution of the centre,” he said.

Ms Ferguson said there were many activities and surprises planned at the centre from Thursday to Sunday.

“I had the pleasure of visiting Karrinyup Shopping Centre a few years ago, so I’m really looking forward to seeing the transformation and being part of the official launch activities,” she said.

“Customers are in for a real treat, it’s going to be such a fun few days – the centre is literally going to sparkle.”

Mecca will open from 9am followed by H&M at 10am, Ms Ferguson will host an on-stage styling session and meet and greet from noon, and guests can sip on a glass of bubbles at the pop-up lounge and make the most of one-day-only store offers.

There will be range of activities running until Sunday including children’s entertainment, giveaways and special offers.

A 700-bay multi-storey carpark at the eastern side of the centre is also opening on the day, along with the debut of the refurbished Big W.

The fashion loop is an extension to the northern end of the centre and will open in full late next year, with the overall redevelopment on target to be finished at the end of 2021.
