Laura PondStirling Times

A STIRLING home is proposed to become a childcare centre.

The City of Stirling is seeking feedback on an application to transform the residential property at the corner of Spoonbill Road and Cedric Street to a childcare centre catering for up to 52 children.

Applicant Perth Re, a West Perth-based reinsurance broker, has applied for the centre to operate from 6.30am to 6.30pm weekdays and 8am to 1pm Saturdays.

It sought to accommodate a maximum of 52 children aged from zero to three and eight staff members at any one time, with 13 car bays and four bike bays.

The application does not meet lot boundary setback and wall height requirements.

People can provide feedback on the plans until October 19 at 5pm here.
