City library services manager Viv Barton said the way the community interacted with libraries was changing.

“The same shift has been happening with shopping centres, as they start to extend beyond retail and become a place for people to socialise and connect,” she said.

The library is open near the Coles entrance on weekdays from 10am to 4pm until the end of September.
