GWELUP resident Sabine Demarte is encouraging people to enjoy some pampering to help children in the Philippines.
She has organised a ‘pamperthon’ at Carine Senior High School on August 31 raising money for the Liddle Kidz Foundation.
“I first met Tina Allen, the founder of the Liddle Kidz Foundation in 2017 when she came to Perth for a series of workshops,” she said.
“The Liddle Kidz Foundation is promoting paediatric massage and nurturing touch all around the world and has made a huge difference to the life of some children over the years.”
Ms Demarte is one of 30 massage therapists who will travel to the Philippines with the foundation in December to treat children and provide training in paediatric massage and touch therapy techniques.
The pamperthon will be offering reflexology, skin care consultations, massage, Bowen therapy and Indian head massages, as well as a jewellery stall, with money raised donated to the program.
It runs from 2pm to 7pm.
