INSTEAD of throwing out an item, take it along to the next Doubleview Repair Café on November 9.
Volunteers will be at the Doubleview Guide Hall from 10am to noon to help with things including clothing, small electrical goods, toys, ceramics and furniture.
If you can carry it with two hands they will repair it or advise what, if anything, can be done with the broken item.
