Haircuts for cancer support

The boys from West Balcatta Primary School were part of a group of eight students and parents that went under hair clippers in front of the entire school on March 11 to raise money for the Leaukemia Foundation.

Once Christian’s hair was gone, he was able to help the hair stylers cut other people’s hair, including Evan and Andre. The boys, all from Year 3, helped raise more than $6500.

For Andre and Evan, the move was a sign of support for their mate Christian and another boy in Year 11, who were diagnosed with leukaemia just one week apart.

They both have since undergone treatment.
