AFTER 14 years at the helm of Hale School, principal Stuart Meade announced his resignation effective at the end of the year.

The school has launched a search for a new head master.

A Hale School spokeswoman said the new appointment would be announced next term and the successful applicant would take up the position early next year.

Mr Meade said he felt the time was right for him to move on and for a new leader to take over at Hale.

“I have enjoyed every minute of my connection with the Hale community and have been very grateful for the support I have received, but I feel that it would not be in the best interests of the School or myself to commit to another term,” Mr Meade said.

“After 14 years, it is time for a change.”

Mr Meade will become principal of Matthew Flinders Anglican College, a Pre Kindergarten to Year 12 co- educational school in Queensland, next year.
