The Carine Primary School student has been nominated as a HBF Junior Sports Hero for her sporting talent, vibrant personality and ability to maintain a well-rounded lifestyle.

Crystal was introduced to swimming at the age of five, when she went through the State swim program.

She not only learnt how to swim competently, but excelled through all the levels.

Her mother, Jo Edwards, decided to sign her up to the West Coast Swimming Club, so she could continue to pursue swimming at a competitive level.
