DRESSING some of Perth’s leading ladies was not on the cards for Innaloo designer Jenna Rose, but her beautiful signature lace pieces are gaining traction following her Brownlow debut last month.
Rose, who recently dressed Fremantle Dockers captain David Mundy’s wife Sally, said she started her label after designing her own bridal party’s gowns.
“I had a big bridal party, which meant a lot of dresses to design,” Rose said.

READ NOW“I flew overseas to source the fabric for my dress, my six bridesmaids, my mum and three flower girls.
“I designed all the dresses, which were different colours and different styles to suit the individuality of my bridesmaids.
“Following my wedding, I was featured in a Bridal Magazine and this sparked some attention.
“I started getting contacted to make dresses for weddings and while I don’t think I’ll be making wedding dresses anytime soon, it gave me the confidence to continue to focus on launching my label.”
Dressing Sally in a beautiful, intricate lace custom couture gown, Rose said she was excited to create a design for the red carpet and would again work with the mother-of-two to create her Doig Medal gown.
“I was excited about the idea of creating a design for the red carpet as it gives you the autonomy to be adventurous with your design,” she said.
“My style is unique and I was lucky that Sally and I have similar taste.
“As this was my first couture gown to be in the limelight I was a little nervous to be debuting at the Brownlow, however I received an overwhelming response of support and love for Sally’s dress.
“This time I have designed a layered lace effect for Sally’s Doig Medal dress, each panel has a different coloured lace with a mesh overlay.”
Sally said she loved working with Rose, who she described as having an eye for beauty and meticulous detail.
“We really see eye to eye on what we like, I absolutely love the femininity and intricacy of lace and Jenna brings an edge to it, that I just love,” Sally said.
“It was amazing to work with her and watch the gown she made for me come to life.”
As well as dressing Mundy, Rose will also create a couture gown for Nat Fyfe’s partner Elli Brashaw for the Lexus Ball next week.
Rose’s first collection is available online and features five signature pieces.
