AN elderly woman was left shaken when she had her handbag stolen by a motorbike rider near Francis Street on June 19.

About 2.45pm, the 72-year-old woman was walking through a Karrinyup carpark to her car when the passing motorbike approached her from behind and snatched her handbag before speeding off.

The woman was uninjured but left shaken.

Inside the handbag was a mobile phone, cash, personal papers and credit cards.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.
