KARRINYUP Shopping Centre was blacked out for several hours today.
The centre, which is undergoing a large extension, lost power late this morning but Community News was advised just after 4pm that power had been restored.
The centre said it would be open as usual for late night shopping on Thursday.

READ NOWContractor Mutiplex confirmed the redevelopment works had been the cause of the blackout.
“Due to an incident at the Karrinyup Shopping Centre redevelopment site this morning, power to the centre has temporarily been cut,” Multiplex said.
“We are working hard to resume full power to the centre as quickly as possible and anticipate it will be restored by early this afternoon.
“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience experienced by the public and retailers during this time.”
In a statement the centre said it expected power to be restored within a “few hours”.
“Part of the centre is trading as normal, with generators in use by a number of retailers,” the statement said.
“The team is working hard to restore power as soon as possible.
“We expect full power to be resumed within the next few hours, at which point all retailers will be trading as normal.
“Thankfully no one has been injured.
“We apologise for any inconvenience to our customers and retailers.”
Eyebrow specialists Zubias Threading urged its customers to visit one of their other salons.
