Man charged after police chase through Tuart Hill

A 26-year-old Cloverdale man will appear in Perth Magistrates Court today after a police chase in Tuart Hill yesterday.

Police spotted a silver Holden at 10.30am in Tuart Hill and then in Yokine. Both times they tried to stop the car but the driver allegedly failed to stop.

Another police car blocked the car near the intersection of Royal Street and Wanneroo Road in Tuart Hill.

The car hit the police vehicle at low speed, causing minor damage to both vehicles.

The driver then allegedly ran from the car before being arrested nearby.

He was charged with two counts of aggravated burglary, one of attempted aggravated burglary, one of burglary and one of stealing a motor vehicle.

The man is also facing four stealing charges, reckless driving to escape pursuit by police, aggravated failure to stop, no authority to drive and two counts of driver failing to stop.

He will appear in Perth Magistrates Court today (Monday, August 6).
